DogWood’s day care program is available for daily drop-off on non-holiday weekdays. Reservations are required for Day Play, Day Board, and Day Lessons. Monday through Friday drop-off times are 7:00-9:00am, and pick-up times are 4:30-6:30pm. Please call 765.429.4050 to discuss options for these programs.
To ensure we offer the best experience for the dogs entrusted to our care, we commit to never exceeding the capacity of our staff or our space. During holidays we reach that capacity with boarding guests, and those pups fill our facility. Thank you for understanding. Your dog’s safety, well-being, and enjoyment are always our top priority.
Drop-off Day Play is closed for the following holidays in 2026.
Christmas & New Year’s (December 19, 2025-January 4), Spring Break (March 13-30), Memorial Day (May 22-26), Independence Day (July 2-12), Labor Day (September 3-8), Fall Break (October 16-25), Thanksgiving (November 25-29), and Christmas & New Year’s (December 18-Jan 5, 2027).
Day Play
$40.00 a day after assessment
Pets enrolled in Day Play can socialize with people and new pet friends. Day Play activities range from individual sessions with staff to vigorous romps with new pet friends in our indoor and outdoor parks. Nature walks on wooded paths are an option, weather permitting.
Pets wanting to enroll in group Day Play must be assessed for social compatibility and play style before being allowed to join group activities. Make an appointment for a one-hour Day Play Enrollment Assessment (a one-time $40 fee) or an Assessment Stay-and-Play ($55 for the first day). Purchase a 10 day package for $360 for use within a calendar year. Many of our boarders participate in Day Play while Boarding, assuming a successful assessment, for the discounted rate of $20 a day. Drop-off Day Play for non-boarders is available only Monday through Friday.

Day Board

Day Board accommodations include all the amenities of our standard boarding. Day Board is perfect for the pet who needs daytime monitoring and extra potty walks. Pets who want to watch the activity without breaking a sweat will still receive customized individual care with DWK Day Board. Day Board is also ideal for the pet who does not play well with others but who needs daytime care and attention. Day Board clients are housed in an appropriate-sized room and charged accordingly. Day Board is available Monday through Friday.
Day Lessons
$30 to $60 a weekday
Small changes can make big differences! DWK is pleased to be able to offer weekday lessons as an add-on to Day Play, Day Board, or regular boarding. Lessons are $30 to $60, depending on complexity of the skills desired. The first lesson includes a consultation with Dani Sosbe, our DWK Training Coordinator, who will perform an assessment and conduct a mini-lesson with your dog, prepare a plan for your at-home follow-up as well as a staff in-house plan for consistency and reinforcement, and create a proposal for an individualized training program for your pet. Whether you are wanting to improve communication, skills, performance, or relationships, the DogWood staff are here to help.
